How do I get accepted into the master's degree program?

Before you accumulate 12 hours of course work (four courses), complete the application process.

All graduate students are required to submit scores from the GRE (Graduate Record Examination), taken within the last five years.

 

What courses are offered during the upcoming semesters?

Check current course and enrollment information. If you experience difficulty with enrolling, contact the MU Direct Student Services at 1-800-545-2604.

 

Is there a final examination for the M Ed?

Master of Education candidates must complete a terminal project or summative experience at the end of the degree program. The department in which the Master of Education candidate's major emphasis resides will determine the format of that experience (e.g., comprehensive exam, project, paper, presentation, portfolio or capstone experience). The candidate must be enrolled at the University during the semester in which a master's project is presented or completed.

 

Will this program provide me withschool counselor or teacher certification?

This online program was designed to meet the needs of school professionals who are seeking a master's degree. It does not provide school counselor certification, nor does it provide the initial certification required to become a teacher.
